Mailing Labels are Important

Small labels leave your more card for promotional copy. If you are ordering mailing labels, we suggest Avery #5160, 1" x 2 5/8" - three up on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, available at most office supply stores. For dot matrix labels consider Quill #7-10860, 15/16" x 2 1/2" - one up, tractor feed. (Quill Corporation, 1-800-789-1331). Remember that even small labels need some space. Allow for labels when drafting your copy.

The space between the label and the stamp is a great place for a promotional tag line or a reminder!

Become Your Customer

When writing copy, put yourself in the customer's place. What information would you need to take action? Is all that information there and easy to find? Is the copy clear and easy to understand or is it filled with "industry jargon" not easily understood by the average customer? Let someone not connected to your business read what you have written. If they understand, then you can be sure your prospect understands also.
